See Part 2 of Lindsay & Josh

See Part 2 of Lindsay & Josh

I met Josh 14 years ago in University.  We used to share the same house.  When my brother and I started a business, Josh was one of our best employees.  I was really happy to hear from him when he contacted me about photographing his wedding in Vermont.  I think perhaps he wanted a chance to boss me around! Whatever the case, I was excited for the wedding.  We had a skype conversation where I told him I like road trips and would be happy to travel to Vermont for the wedding. I could visit friends along the way That I hadn’t seen in years.

After a bit of a drive to Montana and a few detours, including seeing my brother in Chicago, I arrived in Vermont.  I always arrive a day early because I like to make sure I don’t have any travel complications.  I got in quite late and the next morning I awoke to a beautiful Vermont lake.  Truly a beautiful place to spend your summer.  That morning Lindsay was making some delectable mini cupcakes for the following day.  I had a nice time catching up with Josh and other old friends and made new ones that day.

Many guests went for a morning dip in the lake.  I had a blast going to play water volleyball with guests before the wedding day officially got going!  After we got back everyone started getting ready and the whole wedding party was happy and relaxed, partially aided by shots.  We took some group photographs as quickly as possible. The ceremony was held right on Lindsay’s parents dock.  It was a fun and quick ceremony, which I think guests usually appreciate.  Lindsay had some fantastic rhyming vows for Josh and she was adorably emotional during the wedding.  After the vows the wedding party went for a quick boat ride on the lake before heading back to the reception.
