I’ve always loved stories. My father is a great storyteller and I remember always asking him to tell me a story. I’m always touched when I’m asked to help tell other peoples stories. I consider myself a photojournalist. With any luck you won’t see or hear me very often. With weddings the emotion is everywhere and stories tell themselves, all I do is observe and document.
I was born and raised in Montana. A vast and beautiful land which remains largely unspoiled by its small population. I studied fine art and graphic design and continue to work as a visual artist creating photography, films, and ceramics. I took one photography class in university, other than that I’m entirely self taught. While traveling my passion for preserving memories surfaced. Now I photograph and film everything I encounter.
I climbs trees, poles, and buildings, lay on the ground, get in the water and just about anything physically possible to find the right composition.
Don’t let the serious photos fool you, as far as personality most of my friends describe me as laid back and fun. Also available for honeymoon photography.
