Sonia and Dave booked me quite last minute for their wedding photography. I never talked to them on the phone and didn’t get to spend any time with them until I started taking their photographs. One of the first things I noticed about Sonia was how close she was to her mother. She hugged her right before walking down the isle. Its one of my favourite photographs I’ve taken simply because of the absolute sincerity in the hug. Both the bride and groom are musicians, and Dave actually serenaded Sonia. He sang ‘Love Story’ by Randy Newman and did so beautifully. The couple was easy to photograph for couples photographs and interacted just as I hoped they would, creating multiple genuine moments and making my job easy. Children were in abundance and made sure for no dull moments. I always love to photograph children because of the honesty in their expressions. The bride and groom invited their guests to bring their favorite dessert. I love this money saving idea and proved to be the best desserts I’ve ever enjoyed at a wedding. Please feed your wedding photographers, they will greatly appreciate it.

‘Love Story’ by Randy Newman

I like your mother
I like your brother
I like you
And you like me too
We’ll get a preacher
I’ll buy a ring
We’ll hire a band
With an accordion
A violin
And a tenor who can sing

You and me you and me, baby
You and me you and me you and me, baby
You and me you and me you and me, baby
You and me you and me you and me, baby

We’ll have a kid
Or maybe we’ll rent one
He’s got to be straight
We don’t want a bent one
He’ll drink his baby brew
From a big brass cup
Someday he may be president
If things loosen up

You and me you and me, baby
You and me you and me you and me, baby
You and me you and me you and me, baby
You and me you and me you and me, baby

I’ll take the train into the city
Ev’ry mornin’
You may be plain – I think you’re pretty
In the mornin’
And some nights we’ll go out dancin’
If I’m not too tired
Some nights we’ll sit romancin’
Watching the Late Show by the fire

When our kids are grown
With kids of their own
They’ll send us away
To a little home in Florida
We’ll play checkers all day
Until we pass away
