Sarah and I have been friends for years and I’ve been privileged enough to know her wonderful family throughout that time.  They are a generous and fun loving family and I knew this was going to be a fantastic party.  Sarah said she wanted me as her photographer a few years ago when I was photographing her cousin Anne’s wedding in Montana.  I was of course flattered, especially since she wasn’t dating at the time, and because I live in Scotland.  Last year she told me she was getting married and she still wanted me to come back to Montana to photograph her wedding and I was thrilled to be a part of it.  I met Zach for the first time the day I took their engagement photographs in Glacier National Park.  The weather was overcast to say the least and started pouring at some point but both of them had fantastic attitudes and the photographs were quite fantastic.  Really enjoyed getting to know Zach, he is a wonderful man with a fantastic sense of humor.  On the big day I started with some getting ready shots of the bride before everyone made their way to the church.  Sarah & her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning and smiley as ever and making the photographs quite easy.  The ceremony was lovely and soon after we jumped in their friends beautiful classic 53 Chevy.  Afterwards the the bride groom and honored guests jumped in the Trolley drove around Butte.  We arrived at the original mining head frame to find their beautiful reception.  All the family, friends, bridesmaids and groomsmen worked extremely hard for the couple and everything was perfect.  Everyone enjoyed the heartfelt and humorous speeches and the dancing started.  The music was a combination of the Lil’ Smokies and a fantastic DJ that kept the dancing going until 1 in the morning.  All the wedding guests had a blast and danced the night away.  An absolutely epic wedding!  Thank you for letting me capture it!
