I was thrilled to be chosen to do their wedding photography because Rhiannon had been a bridesmaid at Eleri & Stephen’s wedding 2 days short of 2 years before.  I was especially flattered by this booking because Rhiannon had confirmed my availability before booking the venue.  I had the pleasure of meeting with them both over the summer while down in London.  Rhi was not exactly looking forward to having all the attention and was slightly worried about the day.  Daniel is an incredibly caring man and was worrying and wanting to make sure she enjoyed herself on her wedding day.

When I arrived to capture them getting ready at the Boundary Hotel there were absolutely no signs of a nervous bride.  Nor was there at any point during their beautiful day.  She was stress-free and as smiley of a bride as I’ve come across.  The perfect bride to photograph.  After some getting ready shots with her sister Fiona and her mum, I grabbed a few of Daniel and his Groomsmen in front of the Shoreditch graffiti.  We took a few photos of the ever so elegant Rhiannon before we briefly headed to the roof.  Shortly after we headed to the beautiful Islington Town Hall  After a lovely and endearing ceremony we set off to the  reception was held at the historic Kenwood House   We captured some photographs inside the magnificent house before being told we weren’t allowed.  This was rather peculiar to both Daniel and I as visitors were allowed to take photographs but we were not.  Daniel is a foodie and ensured everyone had a lovely meal.  The speeches were both comedic and touching with Rhiannon wrapping it up with an absolutely hilarious speech.  I love when brides give a wedding speech and hope the tradition of only males speaking at weddings comes to an end.  Rhi had a fantastic presence and had everyone in stitches.  The evening winded up with Rhi changing into her gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress and few more photographs before they danced into the night.  It was a pleasure to be a part of Rhiannon and Daniel’s special day!
