Alfredo was dashing in his suit and Arianna was a stunner, embodying a Greek goddess. Once at the venue, there was a wonderful greeting of the bride and groom and their families.  The picturesque venue was the backdrop for a ceremony with lovely glancing looks, reciting of vows and rice throwing. They were officially married and congratulated by their gleeful guests. (I wanted to capture it with my drone before the light fell, but the drone is rather loud and I’m always quite hesitant to do anything that might disrupt or distract from the ceremony, so I didn’t capture the overhead as I wanted.)
Dinner was served and the dancing commenced!  The bride and groom were rock stars on the dance floor and the guests all had a fantastic time dancing the night away to a combination of Greek and modern music!  At some point Alfredo and I believe his uncle entertained and awed guests with their musical talents. Towards the end of the night we took some whimsical couples photos which included a bit of tree climbing. Shortly after and all to soon the dancing came to an end. After an epic day we caught the last bus back to Heraklion. I don’t know what it was but I do believe this day flew by faster than normal for me, in the blink of an eye it was gone.  It was a glorious event and I was honored and delighted to photograph their joyous day!
